Amateur Radio (also called ham radio) is a popular hobby that brings people, electronics and communications together.

Amateur Radio is the only hobby which allows you to communicate and experiment while learning new skills. Many radio amateurs are involved in some kind of ‘home brew’ or DIY projects involving solid state, discrete components, Arduino, Picaxe or PC. This relatively inexpensive hobby has no physical or age barriers and is shared by three million people throughout the world.

There are three levels of Radio Amateur Licenses in Australia.  They are from the basic starter level of Foundation, through to the Standard and Advanced Levels.   We, as a club, are committed to assist any interested members of the public in working towards obtaining their Radio Amateur Licenses.   Details can be found here for Foundation, Standard and Advanced Licenses
